Phase Two Victories!

Phase Two Victories!

In January 2021, our advisory board gathered to learn from frontline experts and strategize an action plan for Phase Two. Our focus was to address the immediate and increased need anticipated by the Super Bowl being hosted in Tampa Bay on February 7, 2021, and to grow the number of emergency beds or temporary housing available for women exiting human trafficking in Tampa Bay.

SAFE in Tampa Bay launched Phase Two in February of 2021. We received 5 partner proposals in response to our Request for Proposals. Created was awarded the Phase Two grant to fulfill the need for additional emergency housing for sex trafficking victims. Thanks to the generosity of many, over $51,000 was donated to Created to provide safe housing to women freed from sexual exploitation and human trafficking in Tampa Bay. This funding has allowed Created to reach more women with the truth that they can find a place of true healing and recovery as well as providing safe housing for 1,423 women.

In the fall, SAFE entered an ongoing complex strategic planning process with our best minds to create a strategic plan for Phase Three. We are excited to see what the future holds for our partners and the Movement!
